Tread depth – the legal limit is 1.6mm of tread depth across the central ¾ of the tyre all the way round.  Anything less than this seriously compromises your safety and can earn you a fine of up to £2500 and 3 points on your driving licence.

All major manufacturers put tread wear indicators into the grooves of their tyres, so that they are flush with the main surface of the tyre, if they  are flush with the main surface of the tyre, you know it’s time to change your tyres. Our technicians will check the tyre and advise you if and when you need to change, usually around the 2mm mark. We will check and set your tyre pressure to the correct level set by your vehicles manufacturer’s recommendations, free of charge any time of the day. As well as this, visual inspections can be done on your tyres for any cuts, cracks and bulges as these can lead to slow punctures and blow outs.
